Barthauer Software GmbH is a medium-sized company that has been operating in the German-speaking regions of Europe for over 25 years. More than 1,700 customers are now using Barthauer software. Approximately 40 employees are dedicated to the maintenance, development, and support of the company’s leading product, the database-driven pipeline management system BaSYS. With comprehensive functionality, flexibility, and practical benefits – especially in the water and sewer fields – the professional and efficient pipeline management system is used for infrastructure planning by civil engineers, the employees of special purpose associations, municipal organisations, and public services.
In conjunction with the sewer workgroup formed by the German state building authorities, Barthauer has been developing and implementing the current, original ISYBAU interfaces for comprehensive transfers of technical sewer data between customers and vendors since 1991.
Through its multi-platform concept, the company offers integration with the GIS/CAD systems of leading global manufactures such as Autodesk, ESRI, Intergraph, and Bentley via a uniform user interface. With MS SQL Server or Oracle, Barthauer offers its customers a choice of two database management systems.
Highly motivated, committed, competent employees combine the best from the engineering and software technology fields, which ensures that the software is continuously updated to meet user requirements. A dedicated user advisory board works closely with product management. The centralised customer service centre, available each working day, assists users through a structured support organisation with a telephone hotline, online training, and customer workshops throughout the software life cycle.
